distance of a person sneezing

You have probably never stopped to think about the distance of a person sneezing, why would you? but when you sneeze, you're expelling aerosol particles at a speed of more than 100 feet per second. Studies have found that the air expelled during a sneeze travels at an amazing 100 miles per hour, and spews out up to 5,000 droplets, containing around 10,000 bacteria, which may be propelled up to 12 feet as a distance of a person sneezing. So next time you're experiencing a bit of a sneezing fit, have a thought for those around you and what you maybe sharing with them; or equally what you may be getting in the flight path of, if someone else nearby suffers a similar fate!
